About
Who is Thầy Seb
I started to learn Vietnamese at the Faculty of Oriental Languages of Paris, which allowed me to acquire the basics of the language and to master the alphabet. Then I had the chance to go to Vietnam within the framework of an agreement between my Faculty and the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of Ho Chi Minh. Before leaving, I thought of a technique to be able to manage alone as soon as possible in all possible and imaginable situations. I was able to develop a method that was both academic and instinctive.
I have been teaching Vietnamese for over 5 years now and thanks to my students, I have learned a lot from my experience in teaching the language.
If you are motivated to work with me, join me! You will get results.
My experience of overcoming many difficulties will allow me to recognize yours and help you overcome them.

My method
I developed this method before moving to Vietnam through Vietnamese language courses in college, which allowed me to learn the language quickly once I got there. My university education and contact with people on the street in Vietnam gave me a rich approach to learning the language.
It’s about taking the time to know how to pronounce well, starting from the sounds of French and those we know in general, and not trying to go fast and learn as much vocabulary as possible because the important thing is to be well understood first.
I Pronunciation
« Knowing how to read to pronounce well »
The most important thing to be understood in Vietnamese is to know how to pronounce well.
To do this, we first learn to read and pronounce the tones well and then we learn to read the letters to then be able to pronounce the words.
⚠️ given that there are no tones in English and there are frequencies in the Vietnamese language that there are not in English, it is very difficult to learn a word by hearing it and then repeating it right after, so it is better to learn to visualize the words in your head.
« Knowing how to pronounce to understand »
It is thanks to the fact of knowing how words are written and how they are pronounced that we can then learn to recognize and understand them.
