Imperative and questions « yes » or « no »
Here is some simple vocabulary to pronounce and to use in sentences:
An:
Ane (pinched nose): to eat
Uong
Oume: to drink
Lay
Leïï: to take
Nha
Gna: house
Nha hang
Gna hang: restaurant
Quan an: little restaurant
Quan ca fe: cafe(the place)
Quan ba: bar
Đồ ăn = food
(dô/ane)
Nước uống = food
Reminder about the yes no questions
có + Verb + không?
Example :
bạn muốn ăn không?
(you/want/eat/negation ?)
Imperative with »đi » at the end
(S) + Verb + đi
Examples:
Go ahead! = đi đi
Eat! = ăn đi
Drink! = uống đi
…
« Gì không question ? »
Example :
Bạn muốn ăn gì không ?
.you/want/eat/something/negation
The question ends up with « không » so it is a « yes/no » question and gì is in the declarative form and means « something ».
